Weekend Up North: Traverse City

Tuesday, October 25, 2016

Hey everyone-

Nothing beats Michigan in the Fall. The crisp air, blossoming trees and beautiful colors gives me all the feels.

This past weekend, my boyfriend (Sam) and I celebrated 4 blissful years by taking a trip to Traverse City. We sipped, explored and ate until our hearts content.  Below you will find a lovely peek into our trip and list of all the cool places we checked out.

Where we explored:
- Sleeping Bear Dunes: Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive
- Old Mission Peninsula

Where we ate:
- 7 Monks Taproom
Cool environment with a great beer selection!
- The Franklin
Trendy restaurant and bar stocked with neat cocktails and yummy food. Their rooftop deck is something to check out as well.
- Red Ginger
Very hip and modern. Delicious Asian inspired food with a very cool environment.
- Morsels
Small little coffee shop! Great for a quick breakfast and cup of coffee in the AM!
- PepeNero
Upscale Italian food located at the Traverse City State Hospital. Great selection of pastas, entrees and appetizers!

Where we drank:
We hopped on a bus with Traverse City Wine & Beer Tours.  Can't recommend this company enough. They had a fabulous bus that picked us up right at our hotel. Took us to 4 wineries on Old Mission Peninsula! We had a full bus filled with fun and lively people. Made for such a fun morning/afternoon.

- Chateau Grand Traverse

- Bowers Harbors

- Brys Estates

- Peninsula Cellars

Absolutely loved every single minute of this little weekend getaway. From the food and drinks, to all the gorgeous scenery...this is a must for all "michiganders."

Please comment below on any places you recommend for us to explore next!

More to come,
Danielle
